Some things to think about

  • Please consider the benefit amount you choose, as inflation may reduce its buying power over time. However, you can choose to include the Increasing Benefit Option, which can help protect your policy from some of the effects of inflation
  • If you stop your monthly payments, you will get nothing back and your policy will be cancelled
  • Depending on how long you live, you may pay more for your cover than the final benefit amount. Our cover isn’t intended to be a savings or investment product – it’s there to provide protection if the worst should happen, and you need to consider the value of your cover if you died unexpectedly

Our claims process

Step 1 - Contact us

To start the claims process, simply give us a call on 0800 470 4367, or email claims@covertoday.co.uk. Our claims team is highly trained and handles all claims with care and compassion.

Step 2 - Submit

We’ll send out a claim form to be completed, signed, and returned to us. The claim will then be reviewed as quickly as possible. If we need more information, the person making the claim might be contacted.

Step 3 - Payout

Once the claim is approved, we will pay the benefit amount to the person legally entitled to it.

An unattended cremation means there is no funeral service, funeral procession (or other services such as family viewing, limousine(s), embalming or delivery of ashes). The cremation is arranged at a crematorium at a date and time chosen by the appointed funeral director without anyone attending other than the funeral director’s staff.
